The selected Travel Agency for this event is the Expedia Cruiseshipcenters franchise located in Victoria to be referred to as “The Agency”. The owner is Janet Maxwell and the manager is Janis Strand who you all know from our past reunions.

Cabin Costs - The Holland America prices for this cruise are:

Interior cabin - from $2309.00cdn per person

Ocean View - from $2423.00cdn per person

Verandah Suite - from $4231.00cdn per person

Prices are for double occupancy with all taxes, fees and port charges included. The group pricing is based on 72 attendees. Our survey indicated that 98 association members intend to participate in this event.

Mariner Society - All those who attended the Alaska Reunion Cruise, or any other Holland cruise, are registered as a Mariner Society member and are also entitled to the associated benefits on this cruise. The benefits include:

A. Welcome Back lunch;

B. Mariner brunch with complementary champagne; and

C. Collection gift

Bookings - All bookings or cruise inquiries are to be made with the Agency with a toll free telephone number 1-866-477-4898. There are usually 4 to 5 agents on location to respond to your calls.

This cruise is very popular and it is not uncommon for the better cabins to be fully booked one year from departure date. The Agency has reserved 50 cabins for our group but can only hold them for a limited time. Therefore, it is recommended that bookings be made as soon as possible to ensure you can book your cabin of choice. It is suggested that all bookings should be made no later than 31 May, 2016. Booking selection and pricing cannot be guaranteed and after that date prices will go up as stock depletes.

Booking incentives - The Agency has graciously offered two attractive amenities when you book before 31 May, 2016.

1. The down payment will be reduced from a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 to a deposit of only $250.00.

2. The Agency will include a two bottle wine package per stateroom for those booked by 31 May, 2016. The wine must be consumed in the cabin.

The Agency offers the payment option of the non-refundable deposit then twelve monthly payments which can be paid by most credit cards. There is a $50.00 administration charge for this service.

Hotels - Hotel pricing in Boston is very expensive and is not eligible for group pricing at this time. The Agency suggests that the best time for group booking is about nine months before arrival date which is normally when reduced pricing begins. However, we can expect rates of approximately $200.00usd to be the best we can hope for in Boston.

The same applies for hotels in Montreal but they should be less expensive in the range of $150.00cdn.

The hotel accommodations will be offered at a later date.

Shore Excursions - Ms. Maxwell has recently experienced the Canada & New England cruise and has communicated with several land excursion organizers providing service for this cruise. She will now attempt to organize land events for our group on a more personalized and less expensive cost than the Holland excursions. This may include a lobster luncheon which would be a must event. Details later.

On-board Events - A complementary one hour welcome cocktail party will take place - hopefully on the first evening of our sailing.

A Friday night Beer Call will be organized and flying suits will be the dress of the day for those who can still fit into their flying suits.

Travel Insurance - A Travel Protection Insurance plan will be available from the Agency at time of deposit and it is highly recommended.
